“Hello Sir, I am a new Phd student”
“In which area you want to work for”.
“What exactly”
“I mean experimental or ….”
“Theoretical/ Analytical.”
“hmm numerical work, are you good at programming?”
I said analytical. May be he got confused.
“What is your inspiration.”
“Sir, Mathematics”
“Hmm so you like programming.”
where is it coming from.
“I did some of the programming but I am more towards mathematics.”
“So you can easily use it for your programs.”
I think it is like that.
“Yes Sir, I think so”, Thank you.

i these days am rediscovering my love for mathematics.
programming is all nice and cool and art and everything but there is no such succintness in it as there is in mathematics.
i want desperately to do something theoretical again.
i want to like do something that has probability and statistics and linear algebra and voulume integrals and fourier transforms and bessel series and then it all simplifies to a very legible expression like e(i.pi)=-1 or something.
man i miss those days when i was good at mathematics.
